Aluminium facades future-facing

The humble Ullrich Aluminium panel has found a home on aluminium facades around Australia, New Zealand and around the world.

Aluminium facade systems are now being used on buildings for many wide and varied purposes.

The word facade comes from the Italian word ‘facciata’ and is defined as the outside or all the external faces of the building.

Most buildings use facade systems for heat control, sun control or ventilation. The versatility of the aluminium panel provides a virtual blank canvas for creative minds like architects, fabricators and DIY enthusiasts and as such can be used in so many different applications.

The only limit to what you can do is your imagination, whether it be bending into an amazing array of shapes or designing a custom facade to be Computer Numerical Control (CNC) milled or laser cut for your own bespoke look, aluminium panels have changed the way we look at design features in construction.

Why Aluminium Facades?

As a design feature, there is no better metal than aluminium to set your home or building apart from the rest.

Its lightweight construction ensures it will continue to look amazing for many years due to its non-corrosive properties.

Its lightweight properties put less pressure on the structure of the building that it is being affixed to and is much easier to handle and install than steel.

Australian and New Zealand buildings face many harsh conditions, so when we design and construct for the local environment it is important that the structures and their facades are strong enough to withstand the elements. Aluminium facades, whether they are panels, battens or other designs, can provide a safe solution against wind, rain or fire with practicality and aesthetics on top of their strength.

The modern look and style of aluminium make it much more versatile than the age-old wood and concrete structures. The workability of Aluminium is seeing designs thought impossible years ago come to life with breathtaking results.
