Racking them up in Townsville

Ullrich Aluminium Townsville has just completed their new building extension complete with new industry leading storage and racking systems.

The $3 million investment in the Ullrich Aluminium Townsville Branch will enable the company to better service the growing Far North Queensland economy.

The building is 30 metres x 48 metres with the structure containing over 30 tons of steel with the work completed by Tully Welding Works.

The increased floor capacity and new shelving system will make work for staff easier while providing better customer service and delivery.

Townsville Ullrich Aluminium Branch Manager Tony Hilton said, “The new extension and racking systems provide our branch with a number of efficiency and productivity gains as well as providing better service and delivery outcomes. This positions Ullrich well to tap into the burgeoning FNQ economy both now and into the future.”

“Large industry customers in particular will benefit from our expansion as the extra capacity allows us to better manage large stock requirements,” Tony added.
